"We Are What We Listen To"

Since I can remember, music has played a huge part in my life. From listening to Barbra Streisand on my way to preschool to having jam sessions in my living room with my friends, I’ve always known without a doubt that music is a large component of who I am. Wanting to explore the relationship between music and the self, I illustrated the components of music and identity within their cultural, scientific, and personal contexts. The goal of this project is to help myself and others realize the impact of music on who we are and to provide insight into why music is something so integral to our world.

Q: Who would play you in a movie about your life and why?

A: I would be thrilled if Saoirse Ronan played me in a movie. Or maybe I would love to play her in a movie. I’m not sure.
